Corrupted Recordings - Rob J
Rob's passion for EDM started in the early 90's listening to artists such as SL2,The Prodigy,808 State,Future Sound of London and many many more. Also gaining influences from a wider spectrum of EDM ranging from House,Trance,Techno,Drum and Bass,Breaks,Disco and even 80's music.
After hearing the track by The Horrist - Virus (Ben Sims Remix) Rob was now hooked on this tribal Hardgroove sound. Whilst studying at college Rob enrolled in a DJ/Radio coursewhere he would learn how to mix and scratch from local Swindon DJ Para. Rob also co-hosted his own college radio show bringing students hardgroove Techno every Thursday lunchtime!
After Rob finished college he tried his hand at music production, Spending years perfecting his sound using various different software applications to create hardgroove tribal techno cuts. Taking influences from the likes of Ben Sims, Cave, Boriqua Tribez et al. Rob discovered a website called soundcloud, where he started to upload mixes and own productions. From this medium Rob has had a guest mix on Bawn Trubble's radio show that was broadcasted on the now defucnt funkymonkey.fm. Also gaining plaudits fromhis peers. Rob has been rewarded for his production skills for the chance to release 'Do you hear that' on AK Recordings run by Alexey Kotlyar (Ukraine) with other great releases due on this label too.
The future is looking bright for this young DJ/Producer from the UK.
Keep on Techno!
